Feeling Young and In-Love was written by a baby-boomer who is not
shy in talking about his personal life, but most of his family and many
of his friends are more private people.  He talks a lot about those
relationships in his book, so many of the people he loves would be
angry, and/or mortified, if he ever disclosed their Identities.  In order
to help keep their identities secret, so he can be freer in talking about
his and their private lives, he has assumed the pen name of "Lewis
Ford", and has also given factious names to most every non-public
person he names in his book.

Mr. Ford believes that THE TRUTH is needed to set people free, so
he has decided to tell his readers as much as he can about who he
is, what he has done, and what he has learned, without revealing the
identities of those he loves.  Let us start with some basic personal
information.  He was born in May of 1947.  His mother was highly
educated, but shortly after he was born she plunged into severe
postpartum depression.  That depression was perpetuated by thyroid
problems.  Lewis was able to partly compensate for the lack of
normal attention and affection from his mother by bonding with his
teddy bear.  During his childhood he was made more intolerant of
bullies, crooks and liars, by an older sister who beat him up, lied
about him, and humiliated him on a daily basis.  He developed a
scientific prospective at a young age by avoiding his sister's
company, and instead spending more time with his father, a brilliant,
self-centered, and entrepreneurial workaholic.  Also, in response to
his dysfunctional family, as a child and adolescent he spent more
time with his friends and their families, than with his own family, and
in the process developed a gregarious personality.  To help
compensate for the childhood dyslexia, that developed because
before he started kindergarten no one had ever read a book to him,
he went to summer school for years and took reading and
speed-reading classes.  As an adolescent to prove his sister wrong
about how stupid he was, he developed a more studious and
intellectual attitude.

During his freshman year of college, in October of 1965, Lewis
developed insulin dependant diabetes.  He was able to manage it
fairly well for about 20 years, but during 1984-1993 he tested, and
foolishly tried for years to make due with, the high-carbohydrate
Pritikin diet.  It made him need to take more insulin, and to eat even
more carbohydrates to help counteract frequent problems with
severe low blood sugar, caused by taking a lot of insulin.   The
frequent and large doses of emergency carbohydrates he ended up
eating made him fat.  Even with the frequent emergency doses of
carbohydrates, to counteract and reverse severe blood sugar level
crashes, the increased secretions of stress hormones stimulated by
those crashes prematurely wore out his adrenal and thyroid glands.
Those glandular declines sped up his aging and caused him to
develop many unpleasant, increasingly serious, and "incurable" (as
medicine is usually practiced today) health problems.  These
dysfunctions included everything from asthma to prostate problems,
and from heart problems to kidney problems.

Instead of accepting his fate to prematurely suffer and die, during the
1990's Mr. Ford started reading more about, and experimenting with
various diets and over-the-counter nutritional supplements.  During a
decade of  personal testing he eventually discovered that when he
avoided "junk foods", ate more protein, olive oil and saturated fats,
ate less carbohydrates and polyunsaturated fats, took Fish Oil,
DHEA (DiHydroEpiAndosterone), Melatonin and Pregnenolone at
the right times, in the right amounts, and also took enough Iodide,
Thyroid Tissue and Progesterone to restore and maintain normal
body temperature, this all worked together to miraculously restore his
health, happiness, positive attitude, and romantic sensitivity.

Mr. Ford now believes it is normal for the metabolism of our cells,
tissues, endocrine glands, and bodies to slow, and as their
metabolism slows, for those cells, tissues and glands to wear out and
fail.  There are also "death hormones" which are increasingly
secreted as we get older, and speed our aging and failing.  This
evolved as a "normal" part of aging and dying, to make room for our
grandchildren.   The polyunsaturated fats, concentrated
carbohydrates and Iron that are presently added in excessive
quantities to the average American diet further undermine our health
and happiness, and speed our aging and failing.   Despite the
abundance of calories in the average American diet, there are some
vital nutrients that are still very under-supplied.  These deficiencies by
themselves cause and/or accelerate most of the illnesses that
plague, injure and kill most middle-aged and older Americans.

Fortunately, there are nutritional supplements and natural hormones
than that are low cost, and still available over-the-counter, that
suppress the production of the "death hormones."  When taken in
combination with a more nutritious and less toxic diet, these
supplements can help you to feel, look and act younger.

Mr. Ford, a former actor, science teacher, house husband,
contractor, researcher, film maker, sales manager, inventor and
entrepreneur, explains in plain words, the chemistry, biology and
physical psychology of the new approach to hormonal rejuvenation
that he stumbled into developing.   His first book,
Feeling Young and
In Love
, is divided into 2 volumes.  Volume 1, Some Old Cure-alls
versus The Latest and Greatest Drugs
 will be published in May
2005.  It is 464 pages long.  So the reader can better visualize the
shapes and functions of molecules, and wider personal, family and
social applications, it is illustrated with hundreds of diagrams and
pictures, and with lots of very colorful personal, family and social
antidotes.
The Basic Program from Feeling Young and In Love
comprises the first 124 pages of Volume 1.
The Basic Program can
be downloaded for free from this website.  To reduce the file size,
and speed its downloading, most of the pictures, and picture
explanations, have been edited out of that first "free" section of
